Rapid Prototyping
Rapid Prototyping (RP) is the name given to a host of related technologies that are used to fabricate physical objects directly from CAD data. These methods are generally similar to each other in that they bond materials in a layer-by-layer process to form objects.
RP is heavily used by engineers and designers to better understand and communicate their product designs before committing to production tooling. RP is also used by surgeons, architects, artists and individuals from many other disciplines to produce physical models that they can see and touch.
How to select the technology I need ?
You can:
What type of model do you want?
|
Concept model
|
| |
Description |
| |
To validate a concept or a shape |
|
Recommended Technologies
